Roma are prepared to treble Liverpool linked goalkeeper Alisson’s contract to keep him at the club beyond the summer transfer window.

Alisson has been a huge part of Roma’s run to the Champions League semi-final this season and is considered one of the top goalkeepers in world football at the moment.

The Brazilian’s performances at the Stadio Olimpico have not gone under the radar and clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Liverpool have been keeping tabs on him.

Alisson has also indicated that he could consider offers to leave Roma in the summer and the Serie A giants are acutely aware that they could lose him in the coming months.

But the Giallorossi are prepared to work hard to convince the goalkeeper to continue and according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, they have already prepared a new lucrative contract for him.

Alisson is believed to be earning around €1.5m per season at the moment, but Roma’s proposed new deal would shoot up his salary to around €4.5m, which is three times his current wages.

Roma believe such a financial commitment by the club could convince the player to keep his roots at the Stadio Olimpico for the time being.

Alisson is also expected to travel to Russia as part of the Brazil squad for the World Cup and the club are keen to get the deal over the line before he departs for the summer extravaganza.
