Nabil Fekir has a verbal agreement with Jurgen Klopp to join Liverpool, it has been claimed.

It was claimed at the weekend that Liverpool have a €70m deal in place to sign forward Fekir from French giants Lyon in the summer.

However, Lyon's president quickly denied the existence of any agreement, while Klopp himself played down thoughts that Fekir is on his way to Anfield.

But according to France Football, while there might not be an agreement between Lyon and Liverpool yet, Fekir and Klopp do have a verbal agreement.

It is suggested that Klopp met Fekir earlier this year and the two reached a verbal agreement for the player to move to Merseyside.

Lyon know that Fekir is hot property in the summer transfer window and will be looking to realise the maximum possible fee from his sale, if he does depart the club.

But if Fekir has set his heart of a move to Liverpool, Lyon may be forced to only deal with the Reds.
