Hamburg loanee Pierre-Michel Lasogga appears to have bid goodbye to Leeds United as he returns to his parent club in Germany after the completion of his loan spell in England.

The 26-year-old posted a video of himself and his family on Snapchat on Friday afternoon tagging Leeds airport with the caption "goodbye".

The German striker was not included in the Leeds squad for the club's post-season trip to Burma, and on a day that the team was playing their match against the Burma national team, he all but confirmed his departure.

Lasogga's parent club were ready to offload the player in the summer owing to financial pressure though the Whites had not clearly stated whether or when they would look to finalise a deal.

However, it was revealed late last month that a permanent deal was highly unlikely with head coach Paul Heckingbottom rotating him out of the squad.
