Former Scottish Premiership star Stephen Craigan in unsure of whether Celtic are really interested in signing Hibernian midfielder John McGinn, who has also been linked with Rangers.

The 23-year-old Scottish midfielder’s future is under the scanner ahead of the summer as Scotland’s big two are said to be interested in snaring him away from Hibernian.

News Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is believed to have identified him as a key summer target and even Celtic are interested in getting their hands on the midfield operator.

A boyhood Celtic fan, the Bhoys are said to have an edge over their Glasgow rivals in the chase for McGinn, but Craigan is not sure whether the Scottish champions are even seriously interested.

He stressed that little has come from Celtic’s end to suggest that the club are keen to sign the Scotland international this summer.
