Juventus have entered advanced negotiations for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian in order to sign him this summer.

While Jose Mourinho has publicly said that Darmian is in his plans for next season, the writing has been on the wall for the Italian as he has largely been a fringe part of the Manchester United team this term.




Manchester United are willing to listen offers for the former Torino full-back and the player himself is keen to return to the familiar climes of Italian football.

Juventus have been on Darmian’s tail for some time and the club are also reportedly prepared to make a bid for him in order to take him to Italy in the summer.
 


And according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, talks have been progressing smoothly and Juventus are in advanced negotiations with Manchester United to sign the former Torino man.

With Stephan Lichtsteiner set to leave at the end of the season, Juventus need a right-back for next season and Darmian is the likely contender to move to Turin.

Manchester United are also looking to bring in a new full-back as they look to ship out the Italian at the end of the season and Mourinho is expecting to spend big again in the summer.

Darmian, who joined Manchester United in 2015, has turned in 84 appearances for the club, but only 16 of them came this season.
