Manchester United are in advanced negotiations with Juventus for the signature of Alex Sandro and the Italian champions are expecting to agree terms on a transfer as soon as the season is over.

The 20-time English champions are set to finish the season in second, but a distance behind champions Manchester City and Jose Mourinho wants to sign ready-made players to bridge the gap with Pep Guardiola’s side.




Signing a left-back is a priority for the club in the summer and while Manchester United have been keeping tabs on Celtic’s Kieran Tierney and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon, Mourinho has prioritised signing Juventus’ more experienced full-back Sandro.

And according to the Times, the Premier League giants have been in advanced talks with Juventus for the Brazilian and a deal is claimed to be close.
 


There are suggestions that senior figures in the Juventus hierarchy are expecting to agree a deal with Manchester United once both clubs' seasons are done.

Juventus have set an asking price of around £50m for Sandro and want to secure a fee which will be close or on par with that Manchester City paid to AS Monaco for Benjamin Mendy last summer.

Sandro has also been on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar, but for the moment it seems he is Manchester United-bound and the Premier League giants are keen to make a huge impact early on in the market.

The Brazilian joined Juventus from FC Porto in 2015, has racked up 112 appearances for the club and is set to win his third league title at the club.
