Josh Windass has dubbed Kenny Miller a Rangers legend and thanked the suspended striker for his guidance on and off the pitch at Ibrox.

The Gers closed out their league campaign on Sunday by taking part in an incredible 5-5 draw at Easter Road against Hibernian, which ensures a third place finish in the Scottish Premiership standings.

Windass came off the bench at Easter Road and got onto the scoresheet against Neil Lennon's men.

There was no Miller involved as he is currently serving a club suspension, along with defender Lee Wallace, following an incident thought to include former manager Graeme Murty.

And Windass was not in the mood to let the season slip by without paying tribute to Miller.

He posted a photograph of himself with Miller on Instagram and wrote: "And another thing. Not had the send off he deserves but what a player this man has been for the football club.

"Helped me out on and off the park since I’ve been here. A legend of this club and an even better guy.

"Privilege to share the dressing room with you K dog."

Steven Gerrard is set to take over as Rangers manager from 1st June and the Liverpool legend is expected to reshape the squad at Ibrox.

It remains to be seen if Windass will still be a Rangers player when the new season rolls out.
