Leeds United target Leo Stulac has admitted he is ambitious to play for a top club, however at present he is simply delighted to be pulling on a Venezia shirt.

The Slovenian midfielder was taken to Italy by Venezia from his homeland two years ago and has helped the club go from strength to strength, winning promotion from the third tier and now fighting to go up to Serie A from Serie B.

Stulac's deal with Venezia runs out in the summer and he has already been targeted by Serie A side Genoa, while English Championship outfit Leeds are keen.

He makes no bones about the fact he is ambitous to move up the ladder, but for now Stulac is enjoying life in a Venezia shirt.

He told La Nuova Venezia: "I am happy with what I have, but like all players, my dream is to reach a world-class club.

"I am not deluding myself, today it is already a great thing to wear the shirt of Venezia and I will try to do my best for this shirt.

"Getting to Serie A with Venezia would be great. [But] I do not know about the future."

And Stulac admits that he would jump at the chance to turn out for Real Madrid, adding: "Who would not want to [play for Real Madrid]?"

The 23-year-old has been capped by Slovenia at various youth levels and could put himself in line for a call-up to the senior team if he continues to impress in Italian football.
