Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has thrown fresh doubt over his future at Stamford Bridge and refused to guarantee that he will be at the club next season.

The Blues have been working hard to make sure Hazard signs a new contract, but the Belgian has yet to commit to fresh terms and has kept the debate over his future at the club open.

Real Madrid have long been keeping tabs on the Belgium international and there are suggestions that the club could make a move in the summer window to snare him away from Chelsea.

And Hazard has done little to dissuade Chelsea from fears that they could lose him before the end of the upcoming summer window.

The 27-year-old indicated that he wants Chelsea to bring in fresh players before he agrees to continue at the club, but even then he has not clarified whether he will be a Blue next season.

He admits that a good World Cup could change things for him and while he is happy at Chelsea, the winger stressed his desire to experience a fresh challenge.

Asked about his future at Chelsea, Hazard told Nieuwsblad: “We’ll see what happens.

“I would like new players to arrive, not because we are bad now, but because we want to evolve and grow.”

He continued: “The World Cup won’t be decisive, but things can happen there that can have an influence [on my decision].

“Who knows, maybe I’ll have a good World Cup and something will happen.

“I feel happy at Chelsea, but I have mixed feelings because I would like to discover new things as well.”
