Leeds United are aiming to complete the free transfer signing of Abel Hernandez from Hull City, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The striker is out of contract with the Tigers in the summer and Leeds are attracted to the idea of him leading the line at Elland Road heading into next season.

Hull have offered Hernandez a new contract, but he is yet to sign on the dotted line and could be ready to end a four-year spell at the KCOM Stadium.

He struggled with injuries this season, however is still viewed as a prolific striker and Leeds are pushing to put an agreement in place.

The Whites are drawing up a proposal they hope will tempt Hernandez into continuing his career at Elland Road.
