Paris Saint-Germain have been in touch with the representatives of Manchester United midfield target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but are unable to make a decisive move due to concerns surrounding UEFA’s possible Financial Fair Play sanctions against the club.

The 23-year-old midfielder is set to emerge as the hottest name in the market ahead of the summer transfer window as clubs look to firm up their interest in the Serbian.

Manchester United have reportedly made him the club’s number one midfield target for the upcoming window and even Juventus are discussing the possibility of making a move for him.

PSG have also been keeping tabs on the Lazio star and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, they were in touch with his representatives as recently as last week.

However, the French champions are unable to make a decisive move as at the moment UEFA are deliberating passing sanctions against the club for breaking FFP regulations because of their spending last summer.

Lazio have made it clear that the transfer fee will have to be more than €80m if they are to agree to sell Milinkovic-Savic this summer and PSG are aware that his other suitors will be more than willing to make such an offer.

The Parisians also have the resources to easily outbid any of their rivals for the Serbian, but the club are unsure whether they will be allowed to use their financial muscle this summer by UEFA.

The French champions are acutely aware that they might lose out on signing the talented midfielder, but for moment their hands are tied.
