Rangers have officially confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Allan McGregor on a two-year contract.

The 36-year-old is a free agent following the expiry of his contract at English Championship side Hull City and has chosen to return to Ibrox, where he started his career.

The custodian becomes new Rangers manager Steven Gerrard's second signing as he seeks to reshape the Gers squad to push forward next season.

McGregor will now battle with Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick to become the number 1 between the sticks for the Scottish giants.

McGregor joined Turkish giants Besiktas after leaving Rangers, before then returning to British football by linking up with Hull.
