Arsenal loanee Takuma Asano has agreed personal terms with Hannover 96 ahead of a possible move to the German club this summer.

The north London club signed the Japan international Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2016 and loaned him out to VfB Stuttgart on a two-year deal in the same transfer window.

The 23-year-old struggled for game time at Stuttgart this season and made his last league appearance for the club in December against Bayern Munich.

He is unlikely to be part of Arsenal's plans for the new season and he is again expected to be shipped out in the ongoing transfer window.

And according to German magazine Kicker, the forward is on his way to joining Hannover 96 after agreeing terms on a contract with the Bundesliga outfit.

The Japanese is yet to kick a ball for the Gunners since joining the club and it seems he could be leaving Arsenal if Hannover can agree a fee with Arsenal this summer and even another loan deal could be a possibility.

He has 17 international caps to his name for Japan and has even netted three times for his national team.

He scored five goals in 45 appearances for Stuttgart.
