Leeds United have held more talks with left-back Tom Pearce in a bid to keep him at Elland Road amid interest from Premier League pair Bournemouth and Everton.

The defender's contract with Leeds is due to expire this summer and he could opt to move on, despite only having just broken into the first team at the club.

Everton and Bournemouth are keen, though they would have to pay a fee set by a tribunal for Pearce due to his age, if no fee could be agreed with Leeds.

But Leeds want to avoid Pearce's departure and have been working hard to find common ground on a new contract.

They have not yet met Pearce's demands but, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, held more talks with the defender's representatives on Thursday.

Pearce broke into the team under head coach Paul Heckingbottom towards the end of the season and even netted his first senior goal.

Leeds will hope that the left-back opts to continue his development at the club he joined aged 16 after being released by Everton.
