Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists that he is relishing the opportunity to be tested again though he does not know where his future lies.

The Frenchman has now left the Emirates Stadium following the end of the season, after a 22-year stint at the club, during which he won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups.

The veteran manager has already accepted that he has been offered multiple roles and is not going to retire yet, though he insists that he has not decided where he will be next season.

In an interview with beIN Sports, Wenger said that it is an exciting period for him as he is preparing to be tested again no matter where he ends up next season.

"I don’t know exactly what will happen now, but I am in front of an empty page and I will have to write the next chapter", Wenger said.

"It is exciting because you will be tested again, that's what I want again in my life basically I am a competitor who needs to be tested.

"I am not very gifted to enjoy life and to lie on the beach, I envy friends of mine who can do that but unfortunately, I am not very gifted to do that."

With Wenger having now left the Arsenal job, current Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta has been tipped to take over, though anything concrete is yet to be announced.
