Celtic winger James Forrest insists that manager Brendan Rodgers' record at Hampden will give the Bhoys additional confidence heading into the Scottish Cup final against Motherwell on Saturday.

The Scottish champions have so far played seven games at the stadium under the former Liverpool manager since he took over at Celtic Park two years ago.

Now, as the Hoops stand close to winning an unprecedented "double treble" when they take on Motherwell in the Scottish Cup final, Forrest insists that it is going to be an incredible achievement for the team if they manage to win on Saturday.

The 26-year-old is also hopeful of seeing the Northern Irishman's form bring Celtic success this time around as well.

“It would be an incredible achievement. But we don't want to start thinking about it", Forrest told his club's official website.

"We've got another day now to prepare and we'll give everything we can when the game comes along on Saturday.

“Since the manager’s come in, every time we've been there we've won.

"So that gives us great confidence going into the game.

"I think he's said since he's come in, that Hampden will suit us.

"It's a big pitch and we’ll go there and play like we do on every other pitch. It's been good so far and hopefully we can continue that run on Saturday."

Celtic have already won two trophies this season, winning the Scottish Premiership for the seventh consecutive time, and also laying their hands on the Scottish League Cup.
