Manchester United are yet to agree a new contract with Marouane Fellaini, but the midfielder could still continue at Old Trafford.

The Belgian is out of contract at the end of next month and will be available on a free transfer, but Manchester United have launched a last gasp attempt to keep him at the club.




Jose Mourinho wants the option of keeping Fellaini in the squad, but the midfielder rejected an offer of a new contract towards the end of last year from Manchester United.

For a while he seemed destined to leave the club but at Mourinho’s insistence Manchester United have again been negotiating terms on a new deal with the midfielder’s representatives.
 


The talks are still ongoing and according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, the two sides are yet to agree on the terms of a new deal, but there is hope of a positive outcome

It has been claimed that there is still a chance that Fellaini will sign a new contract with Manchester United and extend his five-year stay with the club.

Mourinho has revealed that Manchester United will be forced to buy one more midfielder if the Belgian decides to leave at the end of his current deal.
