Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini has emerged as a summer transfer target for Serie A outfit Torino, it has been claimed.

Gabbiadini took England by storm when he joined Southampton from Napoli in January last year and scored a flurry of goals for the club in his first months on the south coast.

However, the Italian struggled to find a place in the starting eleven this season at Southampton and only eleven of his 28 Premier League appearances came from the start.

The striker is believed to be looking for a way out of the club this summer and a move back to Italy is said to be his preferred option as he remains an in-demand player in Serie A.

And according to Italian daily Tuttosport, Torino are looking at Gabbiadini as an option to reinforce their attack in the ongoing transfer window.

The Serie A outfit want to add to their forward line this summer and the Southampton man has emerged as an option, especially because of his experience of playing in Italy.

Marseille forward Lucas Ocampos is another option the Turin club are considering as they look to draw up their plans for the transfer window.
