The Belgian outfit have been left impressed by their loan star’s performance and it has been claimed that they are set to approach Arsenal to sign him on a permanent deal.

Akpom is currently scheduled to return to Arsenal, where he has a contract until next year, at the end of the campaign and it is unclear whether he has a future at the club.

Arsenal are set to appoint a new manager next week and it is likely that a call on the striker’s future will only be taken once the new coaching staff are in place at the Emirates.
