Chris Sutton thinks Celtic should look to strengthen defensively over the summer transfer window as he is not convinced of Kristoffer Ajer.

The Norwegian defender has been handed regular game time by Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers this season and clocked up 76 minutes in the side's Scottish Cup final victory over Motherwell on Saturday.

Celtic have secured a double treble, but thoughts are already turning towards next season, with again battling in Europe something Rodgers will look to do.

They will be expected to make signings and Sutton has indicated there is work to do in the defensive department for the Scottish champions.

Asked on BT Sport where Celtic should strengthen in the summer, Sutton said: "I know Kristoffer Ajer signed a long term deal [but] I am not totally convinced.

Ajer made a total of 34 appearances for Celtic across all competitions this season, picking up four yellow cards in the process.
