Leeds United's interest in Hibernian midfielder John McGinn, who has been linked with Celtic and Rangers, has been played down.

McGinn has continued to go from strength to strength at Easter Road, but has been widely tipped to leave Hibernian this summer.

Celtic and Rangers are both fans of the tigerish midfielder, however it remains to be seen whether they will make a move to keep him within Scottish football.

McGinn has of late been linked with Leeds, but according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, while there were whispers of the Whites being keen some time ago, the chatter has gone quiet.

Hibernian are expected to hold out for a substantial fee if clubs come calling for McGinn this summer.

McGinn helped Hibernian to a finish of fourth in the Scottish Premiership this season, with the club three points adrift of Rangers and with it the final Europa League place.

The midfielder joined Hibs in 2015 after departing St Mirren, where he was the victim of a training ground prank which saw team-mate Steven Thompson spike him with a training pole.
