Marco Silva will sign a contract to become the new Everton manager later this week.

The Portuguese has been the Toffees' number one target since they opted to part ways with Sam Allardyce and they are now rapidly closing in on getting their man.

The former Watford boss and Everton have held talks and are close to an agreement.

Now, according to Portuguese outlet Desporto ao Minuto, Silva is expected to put pen to paper to a contract with Everton later this week.

The Toffees recently appointed Marcel Brands as their new director of football after tempting him from Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven.
