Tottenham Hotspur have initiated contact with the agent of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic to probe the possibility of signing him this summer.

Perisic’s name hit the headlines last summer too when Manchester United were interested in signing the player and the Red Devils even agreed terms on a contract, but refused to meet Inter’s asking price.

The Croatian winger wanted to move to England last year but Inter’s insistence on getting the price they wanted killed his chances of joining the Old Trafford outfit.

However, it seems there is fresh Premier League interest in the player this summer too and it has been claimed Tottenham are the ones who are now probing the possibility of signing him.

According to Italian outlet FCInterNews.it, the north London club have touched base with the agent of the Inter winger to understand whether a deal could be agreed for him.

Fali Ramadani, his agent, has taken note of Tottenham’s interest, but has made it clear that Inter are not interested in selling the player this summer.

It has been claimed that the Nerazzurri will consider letting the winger go if his suitors are prepared to offer big money for him.

Perisic has a contract until 2022 with Inter.
