Carpi president Stefano Bonacini has indicated that he is not expecting any hiccups ahead of Jerry Mbakogu’s move to Leeds United this summer.

The Yorkshire giants have an agreement in place with the Serie B outfit to sign Mbakogu for a fee believed to be around £3m, but the deal has not been activated yet.

While Leeds have a clear run at the 25-year-old striker, there are suggestions that the club could look at other hitmen before taking up the option of signing him this summer.

Bonacini revealed that Leeds will have to active the agreement before the end of next month, but he is certain that Mbakogu will be playing at Elland Road next season.

He stressed that only some unforeseen circumstances could stop the striker from moving to Leeds this summer.
