Rangers midfielder Josh Windass is certain that Jordan Thompson will be back playing in the top tier following his release from the Gers.

The 21-year-old midfielder helped Livingston to promotion from the Scottish Championship during his loan stint at the club this season, but his time at Rangers is over.




Signed by Mark Warburton in 2015 following his release from Manchester United, the youngster failed to make his mark at the club and only made three senior appearances.

His contract with the club expires at the end of the season and Thompson revealed that he will leaving the club at the end of his current deal.
 


The youngster has found support from Rangers star Windass and he insisted that the young midfielder will be backing playing in the top tier soon.

Windass took to Twitter and wrote: “Some player Jordy boy.

“You’ll be back.”

Thompson had loan stints at Airdrieonians and Raith Rovers, before joining Livingston in January for a stint in the second half of the season.
