Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno has insisted that he does not believe Real Madrid are the overwhelming favourites ahead of the Champions League final.

The Merseyside giants have shocked many with their run to the Champions League final this season on the back of some scintillating attacking football from their front three.

However, in the final they are up against Real Madrid, who are looking to win a third Champions League crown on the trot, and Liverpool are considered the underdogs ahead of Saturday’s clash in Kyiv.

Many are of the opinion that the European champions’ experience on the big stage will come through against an inexperienced Liverpool side, but Moreno does not agree with the notion.

He insisted that Real Madrid are not runaway favourites and stressed that Liverpool are not paying attention to what everyone in Spain has been saying ahead of the final.
