Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici opened negotiations with the agent of Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata during a meeting in Milan on Wednesday.

The Chelsea striker and his agent, Juanma Lopez, were spotted with Juventus sporting director Paratici in a hotel in Milan, which led to more speculation over his future.

Morata’s first season at Chelsea has not gone according to plan and he has been regularly snubbed from the starting eleven by Antonio Conte for the big games, including the FA Cup final last weekend.

The striker is believed to be keen to return to Italy this summer and is reportedly pushing for a move away from Chelsea, with Juventus currently leading the chase.

And according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, Paratici opened talks with Morata’s agent, on the behalf of Juventus, to discuss the possibility of the striker returning to Turin.

An initial loan deal has been mooted to avoid Juventus paying a big fee up front and the agreement would contain an obligatory purchase option.

Initial negotiations have started, but an agreement is still not on the horizon and Morata’s agent is expected to meet Chelsea soon to discuss a potential offer from Juventus.

AC Milan are also interested in signing for Morata, but it seems Juventus have taken the first decisive steps to take the Spaniard back to Italy.
