Anderlecht are keen to reach an agreement with Newcastle United for goalkeeper Matz Sels imminently.

Sels spent the season on loan at Anderlecht and has been keen to join the club on a permanent contract ahead of the start of the new campaign.

The goalkeeper has already agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with Anderlecht and is now waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement over a transfer fee.

The Belgian giants have been in talks with Newcastle for the signature of Sels and the Magpies are also reportedly willing to sell Chancel Mbemba to Anderlecht in a combined deal.

While Anderlecht are more than willing to sign the defender, their priority is Sels and according to Het Nieuwsblad, they want to get the deal over the line imminently.
