Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear to the Napoli hierarchy that Chelsea defensive target Kalidou Koulibaly is an untouchable member of his squad.

The Senegalese centre-back has emerged as one of the top defenders in Serie A over the last few years and has many admirers across the top European leagues.

Chelsea pushed hard to sign him in 2016, but Napoli managed to keep their interest at bay and convinced the player to sign a new contract with the Serie A giants.

With Chelsea in talks with Maurizio Sarri to become their next manager, there are suggestions that the west London club could show interest in signing Koulibaly this summer.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly slapped a mammoth asking price on the defender to keep his suitors at bay and it seems Ancelotti also has no plans to sell him.

According to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, the new Napoli coach has made it clear that Koulibaly will remain an integral part of his plans and will remain untouchable this summer.

Napoli signed the defender from Genk in 2014 for a fee of a little over €8m and have every intention of keeping the player at the San Paolo despite again facing pressure from top clubs in Europe.
