Manchester United are set to face competition from Arsenal and Juventus for the signature of Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini this summer.

The 21-year-old Italian midfielder has emerged as a possible target for Manchester United, who are looking to make at least two midfield signings this summer.

They have already agreed a fee with Shakhtar Donetsk for Brazilian midfielder Fred and are also considering making a move for the Italian midfielder in the ongoing window.

However, the Red Devils could face stiff competition from two more clubs as according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal and Juventus are also eyeing a move for the Italian.

New Arsenal boss Unai Emery is claimed to have identified Pellegrini as a possible target and Juventus have been keeping tabs on the Roma midfielder for a while.

Roma sporting director Monchi is expected to meet the player’s agent soon to discuss terms on a new contract, which would potentially increase or remove the problematic buy-out clause.

The player and his entourage are angling towards continuing at Roma, but interest from big clubs has the potential to turn his head this summer.
