Borussia Dortmund are making good on their word to try to sign Michy Batshuayi on a permanent deal this summer and have been in touch with Chelsea to put the wheels on a deal in motion.

Starved of minutes at Chelsea, the Belgian striker joined Dortmund in the winter window on a loan deal until the end of the season and became an instant hit at the Westfalenstadion.




His goals and his enthusiasm for the game made him a cult hero at Dortmund and the Bundesliga giants made it clear that they are prepared to try and sign him on a permanent contract.

Chelsea are expected to demand big money for Batshuayi, but Dortmund have remained true to their word and according to Bdlgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, they are in touch with the Blues.
 


Initial talks between the two clubs have taken place as Dortmund probe the possibility of taking Batshuayi back to the Westfalenstadion this summer, but this time on a permanent move.

However, no decision has been taken by Chelsea and Batshuayi wants to wait after the World Cup before taking a call on his future at Stamford Bridge.

His goals for Dortmund are set to earn him a place in the Belgium squad for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
