Talk Leeds United have sacked head coach Paul Heckingbottom has been dismissed, with no evidence the former Barnsley boss has left his post at Elland Road.

Leeds turned to Heckingbottom in February after parting ways with Thomas Christiansen following a string of poor results.

But Heckingbottom failed to have an impact in stemming Leeds' slide and the Whites quickly failed to get their playoff ambitions back on track and eventually finished 13th in the Championship.

Fans have been split on whether Heckingbottom should continue in his role and there has been speculation that the Whites have pulled the trigger on his reign at the club.

But according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, there is no evidence that Leeds have sacked Heckingbottom.

Heckingbottom put pen to an 18-month deal as Leeds boss when he took the job earlier this year.
