Liverpool have left Atletico Madrid reeling after moving quickly to agree a deal with Monaco to sign midfielder Fabinho. 

The Reds have thrashed out a deal worth €50m plus bonuses with the Ligue 1 side and Fabinho is excited by the opportunity to play under Jurgen Klopp on Merseyside.




Liverpool have acted quickly and wasted no time in reaching an agreement with Monaco, something which has left Atletico Madrid reeling.

The Spanish giants wanted Fabinho and, according to French magazine Le 10 Sport, an agreement was reached between the two clubs for a sum of €35m.
 


But the deal stalled and Liverpool then quickly jumped in, taking full advantage and thrashing out the transfer.

Fabinho is claimed to have agreed a five-year contract after it was sent to him by Liverpool and the entire operation was completely agreed within 48 hours.

As such, Atletico Madrid are hurting after missing out on one of their key summer transfer targets.

Fabinho could end up coming up against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League next season.
