Crystal Palace have been in talks with the entourage of Arsenal target and Toulouse goalkeeper Alban Lafont and have promised to make him their new number one if he agrees to join this summer.

Considered one of the brightest young goalkeeping prospects in France, the youngster has already racked up 105 senior appearances for Toulouse despite only being 19.

He met the Ligue 1 club’s hierarchy earlier this year and expressed a desire to leave the club in the summer in order to further develop as a goalkeeper.

The youngster has been tracked by a number of clubs in Europe, including Arsenal, but it seems another Premier League club have taken the first step to take him to England.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, they have been in constant touch with the player’s representatives and are working on a deal to take him to Selhurst Park this summer.
