Liverpool are keen on Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who also has admirers in the shape of European champions Real Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp is under big pressure to bring in a top class goalkeeper after Loris Karius made two disastrous mistakes in the Champions League final which cost Liverpool the chance to win a sixth European Cup.

Liverpool have been linked with goalkeepers across Europe and, according to Sky Italia, the Reds are interested in Chelsea's Courtois.

The Belgian only has a year left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge and is looking increasingly unlikely to put pen to paper on an extension, something which leaves Chelsea in a tricky situation.

The Blues are not expected to accept losing Courtois without a fee and may be forced to put him up for sale this summer.

Liverpool would offer Courtois the chance to stay in the Premier League, though Chelsea's view on selling to rivals is unclear.

Real Madrid are also firm admirers of Courtois and could look to tempt him back to the Spanish capital, where he had a spell on loan at Atletico Madrid.
