Celtic legend Tom Boyd has insisted that Kieran Tierney will not look enviously at Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson as it is he who has picked up trophies, while the Red has won nothing.

Robertson missed out on winning the Champions League with Liverpool after they lost in the final, while Tierney won a double treble, further increasing his trophy count.

Tierney has been linked with a move to the Premier League, where he would play in the same league as Robertson, but Boyd thinks the Celtic man has all he needs at Paradise.

Boyd also feels that Tierney would love to perform in the Champions League and help Celtic achieve better results in Europe, while Robertson would love to be in Tierney's position winning trophies.

Boyd was quoted as saying by the Herald Scotland: "What's Andy won? Nothing. That is the balance for players. Kieran would love to do better in the Champions League with Celtic and that's a tough ask.

"But as for everything else…Andy is a fantastic player but he'd love to be in Kieran's position picking up a Double Treble and all those trophies.

"Andy has done ever so well though and it's great that we have those two guys in that position.

"I'd play both of them in the Scotland team, but Kieran has everything he wants at Celtic.

Tierney featured in 55 games for Celtic this season, a total which included six Champions League appearances and had four goals and eleven assists to his name.
