Philippe Coutinho is looking forward to returning to Anfield on Sunday, Brazil midfielder Fernandinho believes.

Brazil are set to take on Croatia in an international friendly at Anfield on Sunday as both teams continue their preparations for the World Cup this summer in Russia.

The match will mark the first time Coutinho has played at Anfield since he left Liverpool in the January transfer window, with the midfielder pushing for and then completing a move to Barcelona.

Coutinho also tried to leave Liverpool for Barcelona last summer, but the Reds held on to him for a further six months.

Fernandinho believes that his compatriot is looking forward to the chance to once again play at Anfield, where he produced a number of superb performances when he turned out for Liverpool.
