Manchester City and Manchester United defensive target Milan Skriniar has insisted that he has no reason to leave Inter this summer.

The 23-year-old centre-back joined Inter last year from Sampdoria and emerged as one of the finest defenders in Serie A last season with his performances at the San Siro.

Manchester United and Manchester City have been linked with keeping tabs on the Slovak and there are also suggestions that Barcelona are interested in snaring him away from Inter.

The Nerazzurri have no plans to sell the player and the defender himself insisted that he is not interested in addressing the rumours around his future as he wants to continue to play at Inter.

The Slovakian is keen to play Champions League football at the Nerazzurri and believes there are very few incentives for him to leave the club during the ongoing summer window.

When asked about the rumours around his future, Skriniar told Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport: “I don’t care about them as I am happy in Milan, the rest doesn’t matter.

“I will play the Champions League in the Inter shirt, 100 per cent – no doubt.

“I don’t know about the transfer market or whether clubs such as Barcelona want me. I am being sincere, perhaps repetitive but all this doesn’t interest me.

“In my head there is only Inter.”

Asked if he is planning to spend the rest of his career at Inter, he said: “It is not impossible. I have seen my friend Marek Hamsik fly the flag for Napoli for many years.

“Why couldn’t it happen with me at Inter? I am happy here, there’s no reason for me to leave.”
