Sokratis Papastathopoulos will undergo a medical at Arsenal this week ahead of his proposed move from Borussia Dortmund to the north London club.

The 29-year-old defender is set to be on his way to the Premier League this summer and it seems all the figures between the clubs and his representatives have been thrashed out.

Arsenal are claimed to have reached an agreement over fee of €17m with Dortmund and the defender has also thrashed out personal terms with the north London club.

According to German magazine Kicker, Sokratis will be in London soon and will undergo a medical with the Gunners this week ahead of his move to the Emirates.

Once he passes a medical with Arsenal, he will sign a three-year contract with the Premier League giants and will officially confirm his departure from the Bundesliga club.
