Liverpool and Inter have joined the summer transfer chase for Tottenham Hotspur target Malcom, who is expected to leave French club Bordeaux this summer.

The Brazilian winger’s future at Bordeaux came under the scanner in January when clubs such as Arsenal and Tottenham were prepared to offer big money to sign him.

Bordeaux resisted selling him then, but are more than willing to let him go this summer. However, Malcom did little in the second half of last season to improve his value in the market.

But there is fresh interest in the player in the ongoing window, with Tottenham continuing to be linked, and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Liverpool and Inter have joined the race for him this summer.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to add more attacking talent and Malcom has emerged as a target, while Inter are continuing to look for high quality additions ahead of their return to the Champions League.

Bordeaux have slapped an asking price of €40m on Malcom and are confident that they will be able to attract bids of such magnitude despite the player’s poor form this year.

Wolfsburg have already tabled a bid for the winger, but the Bundesliga outfit’s offer is  below the figure Bordeaux are asking for at the moment.

The Ligue 1 club are counting on selling Malcom to balance the books this summer.
