Nice have already rejected an offer for Arsenal and Chelsea midfield target Jean-Michael Seri in the current summer transfer window.

The midfielder’s future has been under the scanner since last summer when Barcelona backed out of a deal to sign the Ivory Coast international at the last minute.

Seri has been on the radar of Premier League clubs for close to a year and he has been heavily linked with a move to cross the English Channel since the January transfer window.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been keeping close tabs on his situation for several months and there is also interest from Italy with Roma and Napoli keen on taking him away from Nice.

Nice are aware that they could lose the player this summer, but they want the best price possible and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, they have already rejected a concrete bid for Seri.

Negotiations to wrestle Seri away from the Ligue 1 club are expected to be drawn out as Nice are unwilling to lose the player at any price despite the midfielder wanting to leave.

The 26-year-old is keen to leave the French club this summer, but has been unable to push Nice to sell him until now.

He still has a year left to run on his current contract with the French outfit.
