Barcelona have prepared a shortlist of targets in the event Liverpool target Jasper Cillessen eventually decides to leave the club this summer.

The Dutchman has left little to imagination by saying that he wants to play more football after making only a handful of appearances for the Catalan giants this season.

Cillessen has been playing second fiddle to Marc-Andre ter Stegen since he joined Barcelona in 2016 from Ajax and has been itching to get more minutes under his belt going forward.

The goalkeeper has a €60m release clause in his contract and Barcelona have made it clear that they won’t be selling him for a figure lower than the stated clause.

Liverpool have been linked with having an interest in Cillessen, but they are unlikely to activate his release clause because of the €60m figure.

Barcelona are aware that the Dutchman’s need to play more football could force him to leave the club and therefore, they are plotting to sign a replacement.

According to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants have prepared a shortlist of goalkeepers they are prepared to pursue should Cillessen pack his bags at the Nou Camp.

Brighton goalkeeper Tim Krul and Sporting Lisbon’s Rui Patricio are some of the names on their shortlist.

Barcelona are prepared to sell the Dutchman for less than his release clause, but the offer has to be something that they can’t turn down.
