Bayern Munich are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus target Matthijs de Ligt as a replacement for Jerome Boateng.

Boateng has been placed on the list of players the German champions are prepared to listen to offers for and the centre-back is already keen to find a new adventure.

A number of big clubs are considering making a move for Boateng, who is currently in Russia with the Germany national team, but nothing concrete has developed yet.

However, Bayern Munich are already planning for life after the 29-year-old defender and it has been claimed that their eyes have turned towards one of the most coveted young centre-backs in Europe.

According to German magazine Sport Bild, the German champions are plotting to bring Ajax’s 18-year-old centre-back De Ligt to the Allianz Arena this summer.

Considered one of the best young defenders in the game at the moment, Bayern Munich are keen to replace the experience of Boateng with the youthful exuberance and potential of the Dutchman.

However, the competition for De Ligt’s signature is expected to be fierce as a number of clubs in Europe are considering snaring him away from Ajax.

He is believed to be a target for Tottenham this summer and even Juventus are eyeing a move for the 18-year-old.
