Barcelona are reconsidering what to do with Everton and Liverpool linked defender Yerry Mina after his good World Cup performances for Colombia.

Colombia suffered heartbreak in a penalty shootout against England on Tuesday night and were knocked out of the World Cup in the last 16 stage.

However, Mina won hearts with his solid defensive performances and his presence made Colombia one of the most robust defences during the World Cup.

The Colombian joined Barcelona from Palmeiras in the January window, but the Catalan giants were prepared to sell him due to his poor performances and his inability to settle down at the Nou Camp, until the World Cup happened.

According to Catalan daily Sport, Mina has continued to insist he does not want to leave and Barcelona are now considering the option of loaning him. He had been linked with a loan to Liverpool earlier this summer.

Ernesto Valverde continues to consider Mina as more on the outside of his squad than the insi de, but Barcelona are due to hold internal discussions.

Elsewhere, Everton are interested in taking the Colombian to England and Fenerbahce have already firmed up their interest.

Barcelona could still sell Mina, but a line of thought suggesting a potential loan is developing.
