Barcelona have ruled out the possibility of signing Chelsea star Eden Hazard this summer because of the costs of a potential deal.

Hazard bowed out of the World Cup on Tuesday night when Belgium lost to France in the semi-final, but his future at Chelsea remains up for debate.

While the Blues are not keen to sell him, there are suggestions Hazard is considering his future and will take a decision based on the kind of players Chelsea sign this summer.

Chelsea have been keen to tie him down to a new deal, but the Belgian has so far refused to sign a new contract, with the spectre of Real Madrid always looming in the background.

It has been floated that even Barcelona are interested in signing the winger, but it has been claimed that Catalan giants are not likely to make a move.

According to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona believe it would be too costly a deal to pull off and believe signing Hazard this summer is an unviable option for the club.

The Blaugrana are also unlikely to sign one more player for huge sums after spending a record fee to snare Philippe Coutinho away from Liverpool in January.

Real Madrid are still interested in Hazard and with Cristiano Ronaldo joining Juventus, Los Blancos are said to have identified the Belgian as their top target.
