Leeds United are likely to lose out to Rangers in their chase for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson if the Reds decide to loan him out this summer.

The 21-year-old winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull City and Liverpool are believed to be eyeing loaning him out again in the ongoing window.

Wilson is one of the players Leeds are tracking and are considering taking him to Elland Road this summer, but they are facing stiff competition from other clubs.

Glasgow giants Rangers are also interested in the young winger and it has been claimed that they have the edge over Leeds in the transfer chase for Wilson.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Steven Gerrard’s presence at Rangers has given the Scottish giants a heads up in the race for the Liverpool winger this summer.

And if the Reds decide to loan him out in the coming weeks, Rangers are expected to be Wilson’s destination for next season.

Gerrard’s relationship with Liverpool means Leeds have work to do if they are to catch up with Rangers in the chase for Wilson.

The winger scored seven goals and provided four assists for Hull in the Championship in the second half of last season.
