Maurizio Sarri would have to pay hefty compensation if Chelsea try to sign any more players from Napoli after Jorginho.

The Italian signed a contract with Chelsea on Friday and has now been unveiled as the new manager at Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Antonio Conte.

Chelsea and Sarri negotiated with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis for several weeks to make sure they agreed compensation with the Serie A giants as the Italian was still under contract despite being removed from his post at the end of last season.

The Blues are on the verge of beating off competition from Manchester City for the signature of Jorginho, but the Italian could be the last Napoli player to join Chelsea this summer.

According to Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Sarri and Chelsea have accepted De Laurentiis’ condition not to sign any more players from Napoli.

The Napoli president is aware that the former banker likes a number of his former players and could make a move to take them to Chelsea at the start of his reign.
