Leeds United are confident of signing Jamal Blackman from Chelsea in time for him to get involved in their first pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

The Whites are in talks to seal the loan signing of the goalkeeper from Chelsea and are hopeful that they will be able to get a deal over the line during the weekend.

Blackman is expected to undergo a medical over the weekend and the Whites are expecting to announce the signature of the goalkeeper on Monday.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are on track to get the deal over the line in time for Blackman to be involved in their first pre-season game at Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday night.

The goalkeeper is expected to train with the squad on Monday and the Whites are confident that they are on the right track to seal the agreement with Chelsea soon.

Blackman will become Leeds’ second signing of the summer after they secured Lewis Baker from Chelsea on another loan deal earlier this month.
