Leicester City have failed with an approach for Juventus winger Marko Pjaca, but are continuing talks over potentially signing Joao Mario from Inter.

The Foxes zeroed in on 23-year-old Pjaca and made a move to sign him on loan from Juventus with an obligation to buy.

But, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, Pjaca made clear he does not want to move to Leicester this summer.

The Croatian is not willing to head to the Premier League yet in his career.

There are options in Italy for Pjaca, who spent the second half last season on loan in Germany with Schalke, and he is expected to now stay in Serie A.

Leicester meanwhile are still shopping in the Italian market.

The Foxes are one of a number of sides holding talks over signing Joao Mario from Inter.

However, none of the clubs interested in Mario are yet to meet Inter's demands to let the Portuguese leave.

Mario spent the second half of last term on loan at West Ham United.
