Tottenham Hotspur are looking to make two signings before the transfer window for Premier League clubs to add to their squad closes next week.

Spurs have yet to make any signings this summer and appear yet to get to grips with the Premier League's decision to shorten its transfer window period, a move which has not been followed by other European leagues.

They are ready to sell Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele if suitable offers arrive this summer.

But they are also in the market to make signings and, according to Sky Sports News' Jim White, Tottenham want to bring two players in.

It is unclear who Tottenham are hunting, but the club have been linked with a raft of players so far this summer.

While Premier League sides can only sign players until 9th August, they can still sell players to other clubs where the window remains open.

They can also loan out players to EFL clubs, who can make loan signings until 31st August.

Tottenham start their league campaign at Newcastle United on 11th August.
